Photos: GOD FORBID (Worcester, MA) – 2023/01/07

One of the best things to ever come out of New Jersey is metalcore titans GOD FORBID. Being relatively close to New England, they were always coming up to play with Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Unearth, and All That Remains. I was a teenager when I came across their second album, Determination, probably because they signed with Century Media for its release.

A few years later they would go on to release Gone Forever in 2004, an album filled with machine gun drumming, thunderous bass, insane solos, powerful vocals, and riffs upon riffs. A perfect blend of metalcore and thrash.

After six albums and what seemed like nonstop touring, the band called it quits in 2013. Fast forward a decade and the band has been resurrected making select festival appearances and doing two dates with Bleeding Through in New Jersey and Massachusetts.
