Photos: BALLAST (Everett, MA) – 2023/06/10

Consisting of current and ex-members of Boston area bands Kind and Summoner, BALLAST steps outside of the box constructed by those bands musically, while maintaining the aggressive edge that holds it all together. The collective released their self-titled debut EP in May 2023 featuring six tracks of psychedelic heavy rock.

Drums and bass recorded by Chris Johnson (Sexless Marriage, Cave In) at Mad Oak Studios in Boston, MA while guitars, vocals, and mixing were done by AJ Peters at The Rock n’ Roll Room in Randolph, MA. Zach Weeks handled mastering at the infamous God City Studios in Salem MA and Samantha Muljat provided the artwork.
