TOOL formed in 1990 and immediately starting a buzz with their debut EP Opaite. The band would go on to gain mainstream success after releasing Undertow (1993 – Zoo Entertainment) with Ænima (1996 – Zoo Entertainment) cementing their status with alternative metal, despite how popular pop-punk was becoming and grudge being at its height.

More recently, TOOL released their fifth studio album, and first album in thirteen years, Fear Inoculum (2019 – Tool Dissectional / Volcano / RCA) to critical acclaim. With an elaborate and spectacular light show accompanied by a psychedelic backdrop, they would play almost the entire album except for “7empest,” along with some older favorites including “The Pot,” “Swamp Song,” “The Grudge,” and closing with “Ænema.”
