Acclaimed space rock outfit FAILURE embarked on a summer tour across the US. They opened the set with a couple from their latest album Wild Type Droid (“Submarines,” “Mercury Mouth”), a couple from Magnified (“Frogs,” “Wonderful Life”), and touching most albums with a song or two, but the highlight was the run of songs from Fantastic Planet (“Stuck on You,” “Heliotropic,” “Daylight,” …) to end the night.

A new documentary film, which has been in the works since at least 2018, when the cult alt-rock band asked fans to send them live footage of themselves from the ’90s. That documentary is finally set to come out in 2023. For those fortunate enough to catch FAILURE live recently, they played a 30-minute version of it. The documentary features commentary from Maynard James Keenan, Hayley Williams, Tommy Lee, Jason Schwartzman, Margaret Cho, Butch Vig, Troy Sanders, Troy Van Leeuwen, and more.
