Following their stunning Awake [2021 – Pelagic Records] extended-play, doom pop quintet SOM released their new album, The Shape of Everything [2022 – Pelagic Records]. With ethereal heartfelt vocals atop huge atmospheric riffs, the band, which features members of Caspian, Junius, and Constants, seamlessly blends shoegaze elements with emotional post-metal.

SOM continues to channel the darkness of current times to create and heal, recently releasing their latest offering, a 4-track EP Faith [2023 – Sonic Ritual] consisting of covers of Depeche Mode songs including “Enjoy the Silence,” “Personal Jesus,” “Policy of Truth” and “Never Let Me Down Again.” They are finishing their third full-length, due out in 2024.
