DEFILER’s New Album, ‘Nematocera,’ Set For Release October 9th

Defiler - Live Shot - 2011Northern California metal act DEFILER has completed work on their second studio album, Nematocera. The new album is confirmed for release on October 9th on Razor & Tie. The band self-produced the record with mixing duties being handled by Chris “Zeuss” Harris (Suicide Silence, Chelsea Grin, The Acacia Strain).   Said vocalist Jake Pelzl:

“We literally started recording Nematocera in April 2011. We’d do it in pieces, constantly going back to the studio, adding songs and making sure its 100% how we want it. To finally have something done that I’ve been working on for two years makes me happier than words can describe.”

AltPress.com has an exclusive stream of “Iconoclast,” the second track released from Nematocera.  Fans can also get a free download of the track by going to DEFILER‘s website.

In 2010, DEFILER released its debut album, Pangaea, and in 2011 Jamey Jasta re-issued the album on his Stillborn Records imprint.
