In the latest events with Randy Blythe, frontman of LAMB OF GOD, his recently-doubled bail of $400,000 USD is once again being challenged by the prosecution.
Larry Mazer, manager for Lamb of God, in an email to WTRV.com:
“Last night the court published that they were upholding the $400,000 bail and Randy’s release… The prosecutor appealed the $200,000. That appeal was turned down but the bail was raised to $400,000 which as you know we paid. …but by Czech law, the prosecutor can challenge one more time which he is doing and that starts the clock all over again.”
Set to happen on Friday July 27th, the prosecutor will submit to the judge a reason for the bail denial. At that point, the judge has five days to rule, and another five days for it to be written or published to the court. The judges ruling at this point will be final and unless charges are formally filed, Randy will be free to leave the Czech Republic without condition on bail.
