Boston groove metal merchants WIDOW SUNDAY have dropped their new EP, Dance Metal, digitally via iTunes and Amazon through Rat Pak Records. The three song EP, once again recorded at The Brick HitHouse with Shane Frisby (Bury Your Dead, Hand of Mercy, Deez Nuts, The Ghost Inside) and mixed by Pete Rutcho (Vanna, Revocation, Hell Within, Corpus Christi), fusing their blend of groove metal and electronica, is sure to kick your head in an make your booty shake. Dance Metal is the follow up to their 2010 full length In Theses Rusted Veins.
Commented guitarist Sean Duffy when asked about Dance Metal:
“We wanted to solidify a more cohesive sound. A perfect blend of riffage and electronic elements and still remaining heavy. The songs bring out all of our various backgrounds. From Darin and my love for electronic music, Jake’s love for thrash and hardcore, Adam’s love for heavier metal, and Pat’s love for industrial, it brings together a great unique sound.”
WIDOW SUNDAY will be celebrating the release on June 30th at the legendary Palladium in Worcester, MA with FREYA (featuring Earth Crisis frontman Karl Buechner), BEHOLD OBLIVION, GIVE ZOMBIES THE VOTE, and REPLACIRE.
